Privacy

Short version: the website uses one analytics tool, sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device, and none of the tools send telemetry: a licence check is the only thing that ever leaves your machine. Here's the detail.

This website

These pages are static and carry no advertising. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: which sections people read, where they click, and where they lose interest. It records anonymised interaction data and masks sensitive content by default. It never receives your name, your email, or anything you type into the contact form.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing on your device. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you about when you arrive.

The two video players on the home page are the one exception. They are loaded through youtube-nocookie.com, which stores nothing while a video sits there unplayed. If you press play, YouTube may then set cookies on your device under its own privacy policy, exactly as it would if you were watching on YouTube. Don't press play and the site stays cookie-free.

Most tracking blockers will stop Clarity loading altogether, and nothing here breaks if they do.

The enquiry form

The form on the home page sends your name, email address and message, plus the optional artist name, genre, track count and file link, to my inbox through Web3Forms, which delivers it and may keep a copy for up to a year. Web3Forms is a United States service, so your enquiry is processed outside the UK.

I use it only to reply to you and to quote for the work. It is never sold, shared or added to a mailing list, and there is no newsletter to be signed up to. Ask me to delete your enquiry at any time and I will: mixing@stompersixstudio.com.

If you email directly rather than using the form, the same applies.

The tools: what they send

No telemetry. Not now, not later.

No Stomper Six Studio tool sends telemetry. The licence check below is the only thing any of them transmits, and it applies to every tool we release, not just the ones available today.

That means no usage analytics, no crash reports, no audio, no file names, no project data, and no record of what you worked on or when. These are tools that run on your machine, on your files, and there is no reason for them to report back.

The licence check is the one exception, and it is as small as it can be:

What the software transmits A tool activates online once. Activation transmits the licence key, the purchase email address, and an anonymous machine identifier to our licensing provider (Freemius). Thereafter, when an internet connection is available, it re-verifies licence status at startup; re-verification transmits only the licence key and the anonymous machine identifier, never audio, filenames, or project data. Loss of connectivity does not disable the software. A licence that is refunded, cancelled, or deactivated to move machines returns that copy to the free version.

Payments

When you buy, Freemius processes your payment and billing details as merchant of record. Stomper Six Studio never sees your card details. See the Freemius privacy policy for how they handle that data.

Contact

Terms of sale: Stomper Six Studio Tools

This section covers the software sold under Stomper Six Studio Tools. There is no separate terms-of-sale page for the mixing and mastering service: those terms are agreed with you directly, in writing, before any work starts.

The tools are made by Jules, trading as Stomper Six Studio (United Kingdom). Downloading, activating or purchasing any of them means you agree to these terms, unless that tool's own page says otherwise.

The tools, and what they cost

Every tool is free to download and free to try. A one-time payment unlocks whatever is held back in the free version. Nothing here is a subscription.

Your licence

Updates

Each tool is a one-time purchase and all updates to that tool are included free.

Payments & refunds

Payments, tax and refunds for every tool are handled by our reseller Freemius, who acts as merchant of record. If something isn't right, contact apps@stompersixstudio.com and we'll help sort it. A refunded, cancelled or deactivated licence returns that copy to the free version.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is", without warranty, and you remain responsible for keeping backups of your work. To the extent permitted by law, Stomper Six Studio is not liable for loss arising from use of the software.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
